With Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro crossing 2 million sales, the company has announced a new smartphone in the Redmi series that will launch in India next week. The phone is said to come with a 48MP rear camera and will be called the Redmi Note 7S.

Redmi India tweeted saying 'This is the #RedmiNote you’ve been waiting for! #RedmiNote7S with a Super #48MP camera is coming on 20th May!’, which means that the Redmi Note 7S will be launching in India on May 20th.
The phone is likely to get a dual rear camera setup at the back that is expected to be a 48MP+5MP camera. No other details of the Redmi Note 7S are known other than the 48MP rear camera.
Considering the 48MP rear camera to feature in the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S, the existing Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 48-megapixel rear camera with 1/2″ Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.79 aperture along with a 5 Megapixel secondary camera. It gets AI features and other photography modes and sports a 13 Megapixel front camera with AI beautify and AI portrait features.
Reports suggest that the Redmi Note 7S could come powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor since the company had recently announced that their upcoming phone would be powered by Snapdragon 730 CPU.
