Xiaomi on Tuesday has announced a price cut of its popular model Redmi Note 5 Pro. With a permanent price reduction, the phone now starts at Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM variant, while the 6GB RAM version will now be available at Rs 13,999.
According to an official tweet by Redmi India, the Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB RAM variant is now priced at Rs 12,999, while its 6GB RAM model is available at Rs 13,999.

Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 5 series in February last year that was priced at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM variant and Rs 16,999 for the 6GB RAM variant but later in May went on to increase the price of the phone because of rupee depreciation and PCBA import taxes. The company later in November brought back the price of the phone to Rs 13,999.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro specifications
The Redmi Note 5 Pro sports a 5.99-inch full HD (1080x2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 450-nit brightness, and 83 per cent NTSC colour gamut. Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 636 processor paired with 6GB RAM.
It comes with a dual rear camera setup at the back that includes a 12 Megapixel primary sensor along with an f/2.2 aperture and a 5 Megapixel secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture. Towards the front is a 20 Megapixel camera with LED flash.
It phone comes with dual-SIM (Nano) and houses a 4000mAh battery.
