Xiaomi Poco F1 starts receiving stable Android 9 Pie in India

Poco F1 starts receiving Android 9.0 Pie update that comes paired with Android's November 2018 security patch and gets Google Lens integration and a resolved list of bugs.

Xiaomi Poco F1 starts receiving stable Android 9 Pie in India

Xiaomi's sub-brand Poco F1 starts receiving Android 9.0 Pie update that comes paired with Android's November 2018 security patch. The new update comes with Google Lens integration and resolves a list of bugs. Xiaomi has launched the Poco F1 back in August that came with Android 8.1 Oreo on top of MIUI 9.6.

According to reports by multiple users on the official MIUI forums, the MIUI 10.1 Global Stable ROM has been released that comes with Android 9.0 Pie. The stable update comes in weighing 1.7GB in size and will be made available to users in phases.

Note that the update does not come with 960fps slow-motion video recording, which was a part of MIUI beta programme.

The Poco F1 was launched at Rs 20,999 that recently got a price cut of Rs 1,000 and the price cut is applicable to all Poco F1 variants that include the Poco F1 Armourd edition.

Xiaomi Poco F1 specifications

The Poco F1 sports a 6.18-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of 1080x2246 pixels and 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powering the phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor that comes with 6GB RAM/64GB option, 6GB RAM/128GB option and an 8GB RAM/256GB storage that can be increased to 256GB using a microSD card.

It comes with a dual camera set up at the back that includes a 12 Megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor that features 1.4-micron pixel size, along with dual-pixel autofocus and a secondary 5 Megapixel camera. It gets a fingerprint sensor at the back and comes with connectivity options that include 4G+, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, VoLTE, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jack. It houses a 4,000mAh battery and comes with 8W charging and Quick Charge 3 support.
