Xiaomi had recently announced that it would be launching the Xiaomi Play smartphone in China and is now confirmed to be the Xioami Mi Play that will be launching on 24th December. The company has teased about it, wherein the teaser reveals the design of the smartphone that is seen sporting a waterdrop-shaped notch with a dual camera set up at the back. It looks like the same phone that was certified on TENAA a few days back, which was touted to be the Redmi 7 series device.
Xiaomi Mi Play rumoured specifications
The Xiaomi Mi Play is expected to come with a 5.84-inch (2280×1080 pixels) Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass notch display and is said to be powered by a 2.3GHz Octa-Core Processor. It is likely to come with a 3GB / 4GB / 6GB LPDDR4x RAM variant with 32GB / 64GB / 128GB storage that can be expanded to 256GB using a microSD card. It will be a Dual SIM phone and might run on MIUI 10 on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo).
For cameras, the phone is expected to come with a 12 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a secondary camera and an 8 Megapixel front-facing camera. It will host a fingerprint sensor at the back and come with a 3000mAh battery.
The Xiaomi Mi Play is expected to come in Red, Blue, Black, White, Rose Gold and more colours. More about the details and pricing will be revealed when the phone officially launched on Monday.
