Xiaomi is set to launch its new flagship called the Mi Mix 3 in China today. The Mi Mix 3 will be Xiaomi's first smartphone that will feature a complete full-screen display, backed by retractable cameras placed at the back. The Mi Mix 3 will be an upgrade over the Mi Mix 2S that was launched at the beginning of this year.
The event will be taking place in Beijing and is set for 2 pm local time i.e 11.30am IST. With leaks and teases over the past few weeks, the Mi Mix 3 is expected to come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED, almost bezel-less full-screen display. It will feature a retractable module that hides the selfie cameras behind the screen and also features 3D facial recognition. The Mi Mix 3 would be powered by the new processor, as per leaks and is touted to come with the Snapdragon 855 processor. Although Qualcomm hasn't officially named this chip, we will have to wait till the phone is revealed at the launch.
Considering the leaked images that have rendered so far, there is no fingerprint scanner spotted on the phone, so there is a high possibility that the smartphone could feature a fingerprint sensor embedded under the display. Let's wait and watch till the official launch begins.
