Xiaomi Mi A2 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage launched in India

Followed with the success of Xiaomi Mi A2 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, Xiaomi has now quietly launched the higher specs variant of the phone that comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. This variant was first announced in August this year, but there was no pricing or availability of the phone available. According to the listing, the phone appears to be available in colour options of Blue, Black, Gold and Red. Similar to the previous Mi A2 that already is selling in India, this smartphone too will be a part of Android One programme that will guarantee users regular software and security updates.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 6GB RAM+128GB storage is priced at Rs 17,999, which is only for a limited period of time, i.e. the prices of the model just might increase after a few days. The Mi A2 will be available on Amazon.in and will start selling at 12 PM.

Xiaomi Mi A2 specifications

The Xiaomi Mi A2 sports a 5.99-inch (2160×1080 pixels) Full HD+ 2.5D curved glass display that comes protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone is powered up by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU, backed with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) that will be upgraded to Android 9.0 (Pie) and comes with Dual SIM functionality.

For optics, the Mi A2 gets a 12 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/1.75 aperture along with Sony IMX486 sensor with EIS and a secondary 20 Megapixel secondary camera with Sony IMX376 sensor and f/1.75 aperture.

Towards the front is a 20 Megapixel camera with Sony IMX376 sensor and soft LED flash. The phone uses a Fingerprint sensor and Infrared sensor for unlocking and houses a 3010mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+.
