Xiaomi is officially teasing the Mi 8 Lite, Mi 8 Pro Global Launch
Xiaomi has gone and confirmed the launch of the Mi 8 Lite that has been teased for the global debut. Mi 8 Lite is the torn down version of Mi 8. The phone comes with a 6.26-inch LCD screen and is backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE SoC. The company is also hinting at Mi 8 Pro for the global market.

Although Xiaomi has confirmed the global debut of Mi 8 Lite via a tweet on the official Mi Twitter account, there apparently is no information on the launch date. Xiaomi's Global spokesperson Donovan Sang went on and posted a tweet of the global launch of the Mi 8 Pro.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro comes with a dual-SIM supports and sports a 6.21-inch full-HD+ (1080x2248 pixels) full-HD+ Super AMOLED display that manages 402ppi. Powering the Mi 8 Pro is the Snapdragon 845 AIE SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal memory. The phone uses a dual rear camera setup backed with 12 MP primary sensor along with OIS and f/1.8, wide-angle lens and a 12 MP secondary telephoto lens. Towards the front is the 20 MP camera that supports some features like 3D Beauty and AI Portrait mode. The Mi 8 Pro comes backed by a 3,000mAh battery, with USB Type-C support. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro price in China is CNY 3,199 (Rs. 33,900 approx.) for 6GB RAM/128GB variant and CNY 3,599 (Rs. 38,000 approx.) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB variant.
Mi 8 Lite, on the other hand, comes with a 6.26-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) LCD display with a notch and has a 19:9 aspect ratio. The Mi 8 Lite uses an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and comes with 6GB RAM along with 128GB internal storage. The MI 8 Lite comes uses a 12MP primary sensor along with a 5MP secondary camera with AI capabilities. Towards the front is the 24 MP Sony IMX576 selfie camera. It gets a 3,350mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The Mi 8 Lite price in China is CNY 1,399 (Rs. 14,800 approx.) for 4GB RAM and 64GB version and CNY 1,699 (Rs. 18,000 approx.) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB version.
