Western Digital Corporation at the MWC has announced the SanDisk Extreme 1TB UHS-I microSD card along with the 512GB variant that happens to be the worlds highest capacity microSD card. The company said that the SanDisk Extreme 1TB UHS-I microSD card comes with the Application Performance Class 1 (A2) requirements that aids in launching and loading apps faster.

The SanDisk Extreme 1TB / 512GB microSDXC UHS-I card has a read speed of 160 MB/s and a write speed of up to 90 MB/s, along with the A2 spec, which allows the new card to manage random read input-output access per second (IOPS) of 4000 and write IOPS of 2000. It comes with speed class 3 (U3) and video speed class 30 (V30) ratings and the 400GB microSDXC card will allow users to store up to 10 hours of Full HD videos. The SanDisk Extreme 1TB / 512GB microSDXC UHS-I card also comes with a RescuePRO Deluxe data recovery software that makes it easy to recover files which may have been accidentally deleted. Interestingly, the SanDisk Extreme 1TB / 512GB microSDXC UHS-I cards come with temperature proof, waterproof, shockproof and X-ray proof features.

The SanDisk Extreme 1TB version costs a whopping $449.99 (Rs 31,965 approx.), while the 512GB microSD is priced at $199.99 (Rs. 14,200 approx.) and will be available from April 2019.
