With Samsung, all set to unveil its latest Galaxy S10 series smartphone in coming weeks, there are rumours that the company could also announce the foldable smartphone at the event. The company had showcased the foldable smartphone at its developer's conference back in November at San Francisco and now in a new promo video.
The video was posted on Samsung Vietnam YouTube channel in which a brief preview of a foldable device that looks, unlike any other phone. The one shown in the video looks similar to the one shown in the Developer Conference but definitely seems to look more polished.
Looking at the glims of the foldable phone, the bezels seem to be much slimmer and features a larger display on the front. The device opens up like a foldable phone and appears to work just fine. The promo video shows people playing AR games on the phone with no bezels or notch.
Revealed in the developer's conference last year, the foldable phone showcased came with a 7.3-inch (1536 x 2152 pixels) display and on opening offered a tablet-like viewing experience. On the outside, the device had a 4.6-inch (840 x 1960) 21:9 aspect ratio display. Reports suggest that the phone is expected to feature a Sony IMX374 sensor.
There is no confirmation on when Samsung will make it available anytime soon, but we would like to see it at the MWC 2019, this month.
