Realme U1 will be launching in India today at an event in New Delhi, scheduled at 12:30 pm. Realme, the subbrand of Oppo will be launching the Realme U1 which happens to be the first phone to come with MediaTek Helio P70 processor. Apart from the processor, the company has teased the phone to come with a “dewdrop” notch and a “powerful” selfie camera. The device will be exclusive on Amazon.in.

Realme U1 specifications
The Realme U1 is the world's first smartphone powered by the MediaTek Helio P70 processor. The Helio P70 chip was launched in October and is based on the TSMC's 12nm FinFET process. It comes with four ARM Cortex-A73 cores with a clocked speed of up to 2.1GHz and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz. This MediaTek chip is claimed to have a 13 per cent performance boost over the previous Helio P60 processor. The Helio P70 SoC supports dual rear camera setup.
The company recently has teased the benchmark scores of Realme U1 powered by Helio P70 that showed an AnTuTu score of 145,021 that happens to be more than Snapdragon 636 and HiSilicon Kirin 710 that come with a score of 115,611 and 139,974.
The camera specs are not out yet but reports suggest that the phone would sport a powerful selfie camera with 296 facial recognition points that would help in enhancing the selfies.
Realme U1 price
Realme U1 price in India is not out yet but looking at the previous phones that were launched by the company, the Realme U1 price could be between Rs 10,000 and Rs 16,000. The Realme U1 will be sold exclusively on Amazon.in.
