With MWC 2019 closing up, every smartphone maker is lining up to present its best at the event. Following all major companies, OnePlus has joined the league, where the company will be showing its first OnePlus 5G prototype smartphone. This new device will come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform and the company says that people will experience 5G cloud gaming on the new 5G device.

The OnePlus event has been scheduled for 26th February. During the event, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau will be joined by Qualcomm President Cristiano R. Amon, and EE CEO Marc Allera. For 5G, OnePlus established its own research labs and was working with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. since 2017 on the OnePlus’ 5G device development and in August 2018 successfully established a 5G connection to Qualcomm Technologies’ laboratory based in San Diego.
OnePlus has announced that the company will be launching the first commercial 5G smartphone in Europe in 2019 and has partnered with UK’s biggest mobile network, EE, where the company plans on rolling out 5G in as many as 19 cities of the UK, by the end of this year.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau last month had hinted to the introduction of a separate 5G smartphone and also said that the device could cost almost $200-300 more than the existing flagship model.
