The phone will get Gorilla Glass protection both on the front and back. The Nokia 8.1 will come in three colour options of Red, Silver and Blue. Powering the Nokia 8.1 would be the 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset and could come in two variants that include a 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.

For optics, the phone is expected to come with a dual camera set up at the back with Zeiss branding that includes a 12 Megapixel camera and a 13 Megapixel camera. On the front would be the 20 Megapixel camera. It will house a 3,400mAh battery and will ship with Android 9 Pie, as a part of Android one program.

There have been reports of Nokia 9 as well, but it won't launch as Nokia doesn't have a history of launching a flagship at the end of the year. HMD Global could launch it next year in MWC 2019.
