Nokia 106 with 1.8-inch QQVGA display and long battery life, announced

HMD Global has announced its new feature phone today called the Nokia 106. The phone is a successor to the original Nokia 106 that launched way back in 2013. It comes with a tough polycarbonate body, backed with inherent colouring. The Nokia 106 is touted to come with up to 21 days of standby time or 15 hours of talk time on a single charge.

Nokia 106 specifications

The Nokia 106 features a 1.8-inch QQVGA (160x120 pixels) TFT display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6261D processor, backed with 4MB RAM, followed with 4MB of onboard storage. It gets a dual-SIM option and has a Micro-USB port for charging. Other features include a 3.5mm headphone port, FM radio and LED flash. It houses on an 800mAh battery and comes in new Light Grey and Dark Blue colours.

It comes preloaded with try-and-buy games like Danger Dash, Tetris and Nitro Racing, along with the classic Snake Xenzia. The phone has a capacity of holding 2,000 contacts and 500 text messages.

Nokia 106 price

The Nokia 106 price in Russia is RUB 1,590 (Rs 1,700 approx.) and will be going on sale later this month. Details regarding the global market and India launch are yet to be revealed.
