Microsoft Hummingbird, an AI-Powered News app for Android launched

Microsoft has unveiled Hummingbird, which is an AI-powered News app for Android that is currently available in the USA. The app can be logged in via Microsoft or LinkedIn accounts and one can also go ahead by skipping it. The home screen comes with various topics for one to chose from. This app lets users find news of their interest and get up to date with current affairs.

The Microsoft Hummingbird app comes with AI learning to curate stories and videos on topics of one's choice while setting up, but with time learns your interest and then starts showing content accordingly.

One can choose from options like Politics, Entertainment, Science and Tech, Food and Dining, Sports, Fashion, and more. One can also tap on the three dots that are placed alongside the story to block it, dislike it or save it for later reading or sharing with friends on another social platform.

Once you tap the story, it will take the user to the site on which it has been published, but the top banner still retains Hummingbird's social features that include dislike, block, save and share. To add more topics to the feed, there's a '+' button on the top right edge of the app, by which users can add more topics to the feed. In order to search for stories about a person or topic, one can search using the search tab by which one can enter the keyword to search for it.

The Hummingbird app is only available in the US and is available on the Play Store, but one can download the APK and sideload it.
