LG will be launching the new LG V40 ThinQ next month. This is one of the most notable flagship device that is yet to launch this year. LG has gone and verified the launch date that will be announced on 3rd October in New York and 4th October in Seoul.
LG has also gone and released a short video clip for the same. It is a 10-second clip that showcases photos being clicked at three different angles. The clip doesn't really confirm anything about the V40 ThinQ, but rumours have it that the new V40 ThinQ flagship could come with a triple camera set up at the back, along with a dual set up in the front.
Rumour on the V40 ThinQ has been buzzing for a while, as the phone lately received an approval from national Radio Research (NRR) in South Korea along with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the U.S. The LG V40 ThinQ will be an upgrade to the V30 that we saw launch last year.
LG plans on scheduling the launch of the LG V40 ThinQ before Google's and Huawei's event, where they would be launching the Google’s Pixel 3 devices and Huawei’s Mate 20. Given all the renders and rumours the LG V40 ThinQ might feature a horizontally-aligned three-camera setup, at the back, placing it right above the fingerprint sensor. Other details point to the fact that this device would feature a notch upfront, and would be made out of metal and glass. For protection against dirt and water, LG could throw in the IP rating as well.
In terms of display, we could expect a 6.3-inch QHD+ POLED display. The handset will most likely be powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6GB RAM and 3300mAh battery. For audio, we could see LG using a dual stereo speaker setup and might come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
