Hotstar, the digital and entertainment platform in India will start offering Disney+ content to Indian customers. Being one of the best video streaming deals in the world, a yearly Rs 999 plan of Hotstar allows users to access HBO's original shows that include Game of Thrones, movies and live sports content. The annual Hotstar plan includes access to Formula 1, Premier League football, IPL as well as major golfing events.

Starting next year, Hotstar will also start offering Disney+ content to Indian customers for no extra cost. Disney+ will be Disneys very own streaming service that will be debuting in the US, in November for $7 a month that will feature a host of movie library as well as upcoming movie programs.
Hotstar right now includes a host of regional movies and TV shows and with Disney+ on board, there will be much more for the Indian customers. The best part is that Hotstar won't be increasing the price of the service and will continue with the Rs 999 yearly plan and a monthly Rs 299 plan, making it the most affordable option to stream the Disney+ content anywhere in the world.
Hotstar is a subsidiary of Star India that is owned by Disney, which makes it obvious why Disney+ will be streamed on the platform and not launched separately in India.
