Google launches the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL in India and will be up for pre-order from 11th October. The phones will hit the stores from November 1. The Google Pixel 3 price in India will start from Rs 71,000, for the 64GB variant whereas the Pixel 3 XL price in India will start from Rs 83,000 (64GB variant). The Pixel 3 price will be Rs 83,000 for 128 GB version and Pixel 3 XL price will be Rs 92,000 for the 128GB variant. The company will keep selling the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL in the market.
Similar to that of Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL, the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL optics include a single 12 Megapixel rear camera with F1.8 lens, but with added features, to take on the likes of existing competition form the rivals.
The rear camera comes with 'Super Res Zoom' that will allow the camera to zoom into the frame, before clicking the picture. Moreso, both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL camera app will feature smart algorithms to offer features like HDR+ and will also feature the Night Sight and Top Shot modes as well.
On the front, the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL come with two 8Megapixel cameras, one for regular shots and the other for group selfies, with a wide-angle lens.
In terms of design, the phone comes with dual-tone colours with the use of glass and metal and also has an addition of a new Not Pink colour, other than the Just Black and Clearly White colours.
Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL specifications
The Pixel 3 get a 5.5-inch (1080 x 2160 pixels) FHD+ OLED 18:9 display, with 443 PPI, HDR support and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The Pixel 3 XL, on the other hand, comes with a larger 6.3-inch (2880 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD+ OLED 18.5:9 display, with 523 PPI, HDR support and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Powering the phones is the Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with Adreno 630 GPU and 4GB DDR4X RAM, 64GB / 128GB storage.
Both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL are IP68 Water and Dust Resistant and come with a security chip custom-designed by Google called Titan M that makes the phone the most secure. The Titan M enhances mobile security and protects the unlock credentials, app data, disk encryption and the integrity of the operating system code itself.
The Pixel 3 houses a 2915 mAh battery, while the Pixel 3 XL comes with a 3430mAh battery with fast and wireless charging.
