It comes after the entertainment giant went on and sealed the deal on its $71 billion acquisition of 21st Century Fox.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, "The linchpin of Disney's streaming strategy, Disney+ will be an ad-free subscription service anchored by programming based on Disney's biggest franchises, including 'Star Wars' and Marvel Studios, as well as original programming".
This would take much longer in some markets due to many factors that include the fact that Disney still is in the process of clawing back the rights to its content that were sold to other streaming platforms before that company had aspired to start it own.
According to a BBC report, "And because the firm has had its chequebook out lately -- spending $70 billion on 20th Century Fox -- Disney+ will also incorporate content from recently acquired companies, such as the first 30 seasons of 'The Simpsons'".
With an acquisition of 21st Century Fox, Walt Disney Co. right now owns the Indian TV giant Star, which is a Mumbai-based media company that comes with dozens of sports and entertainment channels.
As if now, Disney controls 60 per cent of stakes in Hulu.
