CES 2019: Alcatel launches Alcatel 1x (2019) and Alcatel 1c (2019) budget smartphones

Alcatel has launched two new budget smartphones at CES 2019 called the Alcatel1x (2019) and the Android Go-powered Alcatel 1c (2019). Both phones feature a large display and come with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. The phones will be targeted at the emerging markets, wherein the Alcatel 1x (2019) will go on sale by the first quarter of 2019 in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and North America, while the Alcatel 1c will sell in Asia, Africa, Middle East, Europe and Latin America, during the same time.

Alcatel 1X (2019) specifications

The Alcatel 1X (2019) comes with a 5.5-inch (1440 x 720 pixels) HD+ 2.5D Curved Glass display and is powered by a 1.5GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6739ww processor with PowerVR Rogue GE8100 GPU. It gets 2GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage that can be expanded to 128GB using a microSD card. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) and comes with Dual SIM.

For optics, the phone comes dual rear cameras that include a 13 Megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1.12μm pixel size and a 2 Megapixel secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture, while on the front is a 5 Megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

Other features include a Fingerprint sensor at the back, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and a 3000mAh battery

Alcatel 1C (2019) specifications

The Alcatel 1C (2019) comes with a 5.3-inch (960 x 480 pixels) FWVGA+ 2.5D Curved Glass display and is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core SC7731E processor. It gets 1GB RAM with 8GB internal storage that can be expanded to 32GB using a microSD card.

For optics, the phone comes with a 5 Megapixel rear camera with LED Flash,  f/2.4 aperture, along with a 2 Megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. This one runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo)  (Go edition) and gets features like Dual SIM, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and 2000mAh battery.

The Alcatel 1X (2019) will come in two colour options of Pebble Black and Pebble Blue and is priced at US$120 (Rs 8,430 approx.), whereas the Alcatel 1C (2019) comes in Volcano Black, Enamel Blue and Blush Pink colours, priced at US$80 (Rs 5,635 approx.).
