Blink Play: Design and Comfort

The Blink Play comes with a minimalistic design that comes with rubbery earbuds, backed with an ear hook that helps it sit perfectly in the ear. The headphones basically are light in weight and are easy to wear. The neckband of the headphones comprises of the volume controls that is placed on the right, which also gets the MUB button and the charging port on the left side that is the fitness module. To switch it on simply long press the MUB button that opens instantly, followed with the LED blink light placed next to the volume button. The LED on the earbuds turns red when charging, blue when fully charged and red in case of low battery.

Talking of controls, the Blink Play volume controller allows users to increase or decrease the volume of the audio, followed by changing the track by holding the +/- button. One can take calls on the Blink Play by taping the MUB and rejecting the call by long pressing the MUB. It also lets you redial the last number by double tapping the MUB and also mute the mic. by double tapping on the MUB, while on calls. One can also interact with the Voice Assistant (both Google and Siri) by long pressing the MUB for 1 sec.

The Blink Play audio quality is quite decent. It offers clean audio output and decent bass. The headphone features the Qualcomm aptX and cVc that helps in delivering nice audio experience.

To use the headphones, one will need to download the Blink Fit app from the Play store or the App store and follow instructions in the app, until connected. The app takes you to a dashboard, by which the device lets users monitor steps, distance covered, calories, backed by an inbuilt motion sensor. It also gets workout routines that comes backed with music and an audio coach that guides you through your exercise session. The leaderboard allows users to challenge themselves and friends on achieving goals and finishing tasks. One can see all the data by simply connecting and syncing to the Blink Fit app.

It comes with Bluetooth v4.1 that manages strong connectivity and houses a 120 mAh battery that charges completely in 1.5 hours via USB. The Blink Play offers approx. 6 hours of usability and almost 14 hours of standby time.
