Asus could be planning to launch its ZenFone Max Pro M1 successor, called the ZenFone Max Pro M2. The phone is expected to launch on 11 December in Indonesia. The company initially had launched the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 in India first but now there is no confirmation of the India launch event.

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 has leaked several times, and reports suggest that the phone would be coming with a triple rear camera setup. According to the Asus Indonesia Twitter handle, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 will be launching in the country on 11th December and reports suggest that the phone would be a gaming device that would come with the heat dissipation technology.
The phone has been leaked on the Google Play Console's device catalogue, wherein the listing comes with Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 along with the model number ASUS_X01BD_1. The rendered image shows the phone from the front that signifies a notch on the top, along with a chin on the bottom. The render was spotted on XDA Developers and according to the Google Play Console listing, some specs of the phone include Android 8.1 oreo and 6GB RAM. The listing has a warning that reads 'device specifications are provided by the manufacturer and have not been confirmed'.
The initial leaks suggest that the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 would come in two variants of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 ZB631KL and ZenFone Max M2 ZB633KL. The phone is touted to sport a 6-inch full-HD+ display and powering the phone would be the Snapdragon 660 processor with 4GB RAM, along with 32GB and 64GB onboard storage. On the front would be the 13 Megapixel selfie camera and a triple camera set up at the back. The ZenFone Max M2 ZB633KL too would come with similar configurations but with a Snapdragon 636 processor and a dual rear camera setup.
Pricing details of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 are yet to be revealed. Looking at the price of the ZenFone Max Pro M1, the upcoming Max Pro M2 might be priced around Rs 15,000 approx.
