Asus starts sending out new updates over-the-air (OTA) for its mid-segment Zenfone Max M2 and Max Pro M2. Both the phones will start receiving the updates in batches to avoid server congestion.

The ZenFone Max M2 update comes with a new FOTA version 15.2016.1901.156 that gets updates like upgraded Google security patch for January 2019, camera support AI Scene Detection, optimized camera system and an optimized Android system. The ZenFone Max Pro M2 gets a new FOTA version 15.2016.1901.186 update that gets support for AI camera scene detection, update touch screen Firmware, improved front camera quality, improved system power consumption and a new Google security patch for January 2019.
Both Asus Zenfone Max M2 and Max Pro M2 were unveiled in December 2018. The Asus Zenfone Max M2 comes with a 6.26 inch (720 x 1520 pixels) IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and is powered by Qualcomm SDM632 Snapdragon 632 processor with a dual rear camera setup of 13MP primary camera and 2MP depth sensor. Towards the front is an 8 Megapixel camera with LED flash. It gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and houses a 4000 mAh battery.
The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 comes with a 6.26 inches IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU. It gets a dual camera setup of 12 Megapixel primary camera along with a 5 Megapixel depth camera sensor. It gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and houses a 5000 mAh battery.
The Asus Zenfone Max M2 price in India starts at Rs 9,999 and goes till Rs 11,999, while the Zenfone Max Pro M2 starts at Rs 12,999 and goes till Rs 16,999.
