Asus, the Taiwan-based hardware and electronics company had recently showcased its first gaming smartphone called the Asus ROG Phone and now the gaming phone is all set to make it to the US market on 18th October. Asus has already sent out invites for the event, which will take place in New York on 18th October.

Asus ROG Phone specifications
Asus ROG specs include a 6-inch AMOLED Full-HD+ screen that features a refresh rate of 90Hz and a 1ms response time. It also comes with HDR support and powers on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC that is overclocked at 2.96GHz. Being a gaming phone, the Asus ROG packs 8GB of RAM that comes in two options of 128GB internal storage and 512GB internal storage. The Asus gaming phone also features a custom Optiflex, which according to Asus, speeds up the phone.
At the back is the is a 12 Megapixel Sony IMX363 f/1.7 primary sensor that comes with a 120-degree wide-angle lens, along with an 8 Megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.0 aperture. On the front is an 8 Megapixel front-facing camera for clicking selfies and video calling.
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo OS and comes powered by the 4000mAh battery with ASUS HyperCharge fast charging technology that is capable of charging the phone from 0-60 in 30 minutes. The phone also comes with a special X Mode, which gets activated by squeezing the side of the phone. This feature stops all tasks in the background and directs all processing power to the ongoing game. Moreso, by using the special X Mode, the phones user interface changes colour from blue to red.
The Asus ROG launch date in the US is set for 18th October.
