Asus at CES 2019: Asus ZenBook S13 laptop announced, featuring the world's slimmest bezels and more

Asus has announced its new 2019 lineup of thin and light 'Ultrabooks' at CES 2019. It includes an affordable Zenbook 14 and the ZenBook S13, which according to the company features the words thinnest bezels. Asus has also refreshed the VivoBook line with thinner display bezels and also unveiled the StudioBook S (W700) at the trade show that is a portable workstation-class laptop.

As the name suggests, the ZenBook 14 comes with a 14-inch full HD display whereas the Zenfone S13 comes with thinner bezels and new chassis.

The Asus ZenBook 14 comes powered by Intel Core i7-8565U, 4C/8T, 1.8GHz with 8MB cache, up to 4.6GHz coupled with NVIDIA GeForce MX150. It sports a 14-inch Full HD (1920×1080) LED-backlit 16:9 NanoEdge display and comes three configurations of 4GB/8GB/16GB LPDDR3 RAM along with 1TB SSD storage.  It runs on Windows 10 and features connectivity options like 2×2 802.11ac, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C, 1 USB 2.0, 1 HDMI, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, 1 SD card slot and Bluetooth 5.0. The laptop comes packed with a 47Wh battery and weighs 1.18 kgs. It measures 12.73″ x 8.34″ x 0.63 in dimensions and comes with a Harmon Kardon-certified audio system.

The ZenBook S13 comes with ultra slim-bezels on all corners that aids to more screen. It sports a 13.9-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) LED-backlit IPS NanoEdge display with 100% sRGB colour gamut with 400nits brightness and  is powered by Intel Core i7-8565U, 4C/8T, 1.8GHz (8MB cache, up to 4.6GHz) coupled with NVIDIA discrete GPU. The device comes packed with an up to 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD storage. Other connectivity options and ports include 2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C,  1 MicroSD, dual-band 2×2 802.11ac, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A. It houses a 50Wh battery and weighs 997 grams. It runs on Windows 10 Professional and has a notch type bump on the top to for webcam that also works as a handy tab to lift the laptop lid.

The company also launched the Asus StudioBook S W700 that is a powerful workstation-class laptop with a 17-inch LED-backlit FullHD display with NanoEdge bezels. It works on Nvidia Quadro P3200 graphics and gets up to 64GB DDR4 RAM with 4TB PCIe NVMe Gen 3 SSD storage. For CPU, the device gets Intel Xeon E-2176M 2.7GHz hexa-core with Turbo Boost (up to 4.4GHz) and Intel Core i7(8th gen) 2.2GHz hexa-core with Turbo Boost.

The availability of all the new laptops will happen in the coming months and the pricing will be announced close to its availability.
