Followed with the Tim Apple blunder that went viral on social media, US President Donald Trump now addressed Sundar Pichai on Twitter as "President of Google". This happened after President Trump meet, Pichai to discuss issues surrounding its dealings with China and 'political fairness'.
Sundar Pichai heads as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google.
Trump tweeted after the meeting on Wednesday, "Just met with @SundarPichai, President of @Google, who is obviously doing quite well. He stated strongly that he is totally committed to the U.S. Military, not the Chinese Military....,".
"...Also discussed political fairness and various things that @Google can do for our Country. Meeting ended very well," he tweeted.
Google had earlier faced the heat after media reports in context to the company trying to build a secret search engine for China that would reportedly censor results. The project was later put to hold after Google had to go through a global outrage.
Google had also been criticized in the past after PJ Media, a conservative news outlet last year had reported 96 per cent of Google search results for the US President prioritised 'left-leaning and anti-Trump media outlets'.
The US President earlier this month attracted a lot of media attention when Trump called Apple CEO Tim Cook as 'Tim Apple'. He later clarified that he meant to call the executive 'Tim Apple' in order to 'save time and words'.
As soon as the media had reported the error, Trump had hit out at the 'fake news' and tweeted, "The Fake News was disparagingly all over this and it became yet another bad Trump story".
Trump again went out to lash at the media on Thursday saying that the Fake News Media is going Crazy.
