Xiaomi Redmi Y2
At 3 pm today, Redmi Y2 India was released at the launch event. The eagerly awaited Smartphone by Xiaomi was launched by Manu Kumar Jain, the head of Xiaomi India.
Its key features include a 16-megapixel AI Camera, with a sensor having an aperture of f/2.0, selfie LED light and an AI aperture. Apart from these, the new smartphone carries additional features of Auto HDR, AI portrait selfie, and a Beautify mode that works on 10 levels of editing. The Camera app possesses a feature of PayTM imbibed to it.
The Face Lock and Fingerprint sensors are both AI based, and the Fingerprint sensor can also be used for clicking selfies. Redmi Y2 is a Dual Sim Phone with a single slot for an SD Card.
Snapdragon 675 Processor runs the phone and its performance level is claimed to be 37 per cent forward of the Redmi Y1.
Redmi Y2 will run under MIUI 10 – the latest Xiaomi’s custom version for Androids. This software broadly ensures speed, gestures, design and sound
The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 considers Samsung J7 Duo and Vivo V7 as its prime competitors. At the event, a demonstration by the Chinese Manufacturers showed how Redmi Y2 is better than the others.
After the mention of the Redmi Y1 sales volumes in comparison to its rivals, Redmi Y2 was officially announced as the latest add up to the Chinese company’s Portfolio.
Price in India
What makes Redmi Y2 the most outstanding is its affordable price despite so many features. Xiaomi Redmi Y2 will be sold at the price of Rs. 9999 for the 3GB RAM AND 32 GB internal storage model and at Rs. 12999 for the 4GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage model, respectively. Redmi Y2 will release as an Amazon Exclusive in India
It is said that instead of an all-new model, Xiaomi Redmi Y2 is the rebranded version of the previously released Redmi S2. Redmi S2 was launched by the Chinese Mobile manufacturer earlier this year.
