Smartphone maker OnePlus’ upcoming flagship device, slated to be named the OnePlus 5T, is for launch in November this year. Ahead of its launch, several rumours and leaks have triggered immense anticipation over the device.
Now, a fresh leak offers a first-hand glimpse into the new design of the OnePlus 5T. According to an image published by Android Authority, the OnePlus 5T sports a larger display and near bezel-less design in comparison to its predecessors OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 3T.
Though the image is at best a teaser and doesn’t really give away much, it does offer an assurance that the device will sport a display larger than the 5.5-inch of the OnePlus 5.
Going by the teaser image and earlier reports, the OnePlus 5T is expected to sport a larger 6-inch (1080x2160) display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
Slimmer bezels on the front means OnePlus could have the fingerprint sensor on the back above the logo, instead of the front that current models have.
This is like what phones like the Mi Mix 2 and the Google Pixel have.
Besides the display, the teaser also reveals an aluminium frame and a speaker grille on the bottom left. You can expect the phone to sport a USB Type-C port on the bottom centre, much like the OnePlus 5.
The fresh image teaser comes a day after another image -- a screenshot of the OnePlus 5T listing on the OnePlus store -- gave people a blurry look at the phone.
The listing on the OnePlus store was accompanied by a new tagline that said "Larger screen. Same Footprint."
