The most-awaited launch of Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will take place on October 4 in San Francisco. A few images of the next generation Pixel devices have been leaked online ahead of the launch, piquing fans’ interest. On Twitter, Evan Blass shared clear images of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL which are said to be manufactured by HTC and LG.
Highlights of the devices
Display: 18:9 aspect ratio displays for Pixel 2 XL and Pixel 2 could come with 5-inch full-HD display with an aspect ratio of 16:9.
Back Panel: Glass at the top part with solid colour paint at the bottom. Two-colour.
Right panel has the volume and power buttons, the left panel houses the SIM card slot.
Both the handsets will sport dual speakers at the front - one above and another below the display. 12 megapixel rear camera is also projected.
Home Screen: Calendar details such as scheduled meeting can be seen alongside weather, time. Google Search bar has also been relocated to the bottom of the screen. The app icons are rounded, similar to Android Nougat version. Both phones will run Android 8.0 Oreo.
Expected Price:
Pixel 2 - $649 for the 64GB and $749 for the 128GB version.
Pixel 2 XL - $849 for the 64GB and and $949 for the 128GB version.
