More than ten injured individuals received medical attention, with the Chief Minister emphasising the importance of life-saving treatment for all victims.

"Saddened to learn about the loss of many lives due to an explosion at a firecracker factory near Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu. I convey my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for speedy recovery of the injured," the President said in a post on X.

The state government pledged relief for affected families, subject to approval from the Election Commission due to ongoing Model Code of Conduct regulations.
