Indian Wells (California), Mar 13: France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga edged Mardy Fish 7-6 (4), 7-6 (0) on Tuesday in the third round of the BNP Paribas Open.
Tsonga will next play 17th-seeded Milos Raonic, who outlasted Marin Cilic 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Novak Djokovic and Victoria Azarenka, the top-ranked man and woman, play later in the day, with temperatures forecast to climb to the lower 90s on a cloudless day in the desert.
