Tokyo: Third-seeded Milos Raonic of Canada has advanced to the finals of the Japan Open with a 7-6 (4), 6-1 win over Ivan Dodig of Croatia.
Raonic, who is coming off a win at the Thailand Open on Sunday, won six straight points in the tiebreak and cruised through the second set to reach the Japan Open final for the second straight year.
The 22-year-old Canadian, ranked 11th in the world, relied on his strong serve, hitting 12 aces in the match.
Raonic, who lost in the final of last year's tournament to local favorite Kei Nishikori, will face either top-seeded Juan Martin del Potro or sixth-seeded Nicolas Almagro in Sunday's final
