London, Nov 22: Andy Murray has pulled out of the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals with a groin injury.
The British player sustained the injury before the tournament and struggled through a straight-sets loss to David Ferrer in his opening match on Monday.
Murray says he was “doing myself more damage playing than not” and he doesn't want to “mess up” his preparation for the Australian Open in January.
Reserve player Janko Tipsarevic will replace Murray against Tomas Berdych on Wednesday.
