Tashkent, Uzbekistan : Top-seeded Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia and unseeded Olga Govortsova of Belarus scored straight-set victories on Friday to meet in the Tashkent Open final.
Jovanovski, who made the second round of all four Grand Slams this year and was the only seeded player in the semifinals, defeated Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor of Spain, 6-2, 6-2.
Govortsova, who made her maiden Grand Slam appearance at the recent U.S. Open, beat Mandy Minella of Luxembourg, 6-2, 7-5.
Jovanovski is looking for her second WTA title while Govortsova has yet to win a WTA tournament.
