Moscow, Oct 22: Men's doubles specialists Frantisek Cermak and Michal Mertinak beat Italian pair Simone Bolelli and Daniele Bracciali 7-5, 6-3 to win the Kremlin Cup title.
For Czech Cermak it is a second-consecutive triumph in the Russian capital after he teamed up with Filip Polasek of Slovakia to win it last year.
Cermak and Mertinak, another Slovak, were beaten in the 2009 final by Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay and Spain's Marcel Granollers.
"We played very well, I have to say, so I'm very happy," Martinak said, adding that the win Saturday was more special for him because, unlike Cermak, he had not triumphed in Moscow before.
"It was very important for me because I didn't play last year."
The opponents traded early breaks in the first set before world No. 33 Cermak and No. 50 Mertinak broke the Italians' service to take it 7-5.
The Italians mounted a short-lived comeback from 1-5 down in the second set but finally surrendered it 3-6.
