New Delhi: The ATP has announced the French Open semifinal match among Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic as the Best Grand Slam Match of the Year 2013.
According to TennisWorldUSA.org, Nadal, popularly referred as the `King of Clay,` won the encounter against his Serbian counterpart, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-7(3), 9-7 in a exhausting five-set match.
Furthermore, the capture of the Slam by the Spaniard played an enormous role in Nadal`s triumph of clinching the year-ending number one ranking, the report said.
Though, Novak Djokovic later went on to win the ATP World Tour Finals event in London, defeating Rafael Nadal in straight sets in the final.
