London, Jun 13: Seventh seeded Andy Roddick was ousted from the grass court tournament at Queen's Club after losing in the second round to Edouard Roger-Vasselin of France 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 on Wednesday.
The No. 43 ranked American has been struggling with ankle and hamstring injuries. He was defeated in the French Open first round earlier this month.
Roddick saved to break points in the second set before Roger-Vasselin took it with a backhand volley. The American regrouped in the third, pulling ahead twice, to 3-1 and 5-4, before Roger-Vasselin broke at 6-5 to take the match.
Fourth seeded Gilles Simon of France also lost on Wednesday to Simone Bolelli of Italy, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6.
Sixth seeded Marin Cilic of Croatia advanced with an easy 6-2, 6-1 win over Matthew Ebden of Australia.
