An old proverb goes: the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik's 5-day old baby boy is proving the aforesaid line right as was seen from his mother's latest Instagram post.
Sania posted an image of Izhaan - her son - watching a cricket match between Pakistan and New Zealand involving her husband Malik. Being the son of two sporting legends there is no surprise then that Izhaan would be a sports fan as well.
While captioning the image the tennis star said that becoming a mother was the greatest achievement of her life, even greater than any trophy or tournament she has ever won while revealing that she finally got some time after the delivery to check all the messages and well wishes. She also thanked people all around the world for their wishes.
Mirza wrote: "So it’s been 5 days since we came into this world .. Me as a mother and my little Izhaan as my son. We’ve even watched Baba play some cricket together since we’ve arrived. It truly is the biggest match, tournament achievement I’ve ever won or had and there is no feeling or blessing that can be greater than this.. I finally have gotten sometime after this overwhelming feeling to get online and check the msgs and love we have received. Shoaib and I feel truly blessed and humbled with the wishes and love that us as parents and Izhaan have received. Thank you to each and every one of you ..we love you right back! Love ,Sania ,Shoaib and Izhaan @realshoaibmalik #Allhamdulillah"
