2) Old habits die hard, Luis Suarez bites again

On the world's biggest football stage with his team facing elimination, Uruguay's Luis Suarez bit an opponent at the World Cup. Suarez, who earned a 10-match ban in 2013 for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic, bit Italy's Giorgio Chiellini late into Uruguay's final group game. No card was shown to Suarez by the referee and Chiellini was furious for obvious reasons.

Later Suarez ended up with a four month ban from all football activities across the world.

However Uruguay defeated former World Champions Italy 1-0 and kicked them out of the tournament.

3) Shocker…..Neymar leaves World Cup with a back injury

Later Zuniga sent a letter of apology to Neymar, saying he is "deeply sorry and sad" for causing the injury that knocked the Brazil striker out of the World Cup.
