New Delhi: Stand-in FIFA boss Issa Hayatou was seen falling asleep during the Executive Committee meeting on Thursday.
In a video which is being shared on social media widely, 69-year-old Hayatou was noticed closing his eyes while a talk of a reform in the game governing body was taking place.
Hayatou is the acting as the president while the incumbent Sepp Blatter is serving a 90-day ban from all the football related activities following allegations of irregularity and corruption.
A veteran sports executive from Cameroon Hayatou had gone through a kidney transplant just three weeks ago.
Even after briefly snoozing during a long-winded slideshow presentation, Hayatou was sharp and combative minutes later when quizzed on his links to wrongdoing allegations and his fitness for the task of leading FIFA through to the Feb. 26 election.
