Japan, Jun16: Atsushi Yanagisawa scored twice on Saturday as Vegalta Sendai beat Consadole Sapporo 4-1 to keep its lead in the J-League standings.

Yanagisawa put Sendai ahead with a header in first-half stoppage time and gave the hosts a 2-0 lead when he drove home Yoshiaki Ota's pass two minutes into the second half.

An own-goal from Sendai's Jiro Kamata gave Sapporo brief hope but Brazilian Wilson restored Vegalta's two-goal cushion on a header in the 56th.

Takayuki Nakahara completed the scoring 18 minutes from time.

Sendai improved to 30 points, two ahead of Sanfrecce Hiroshima which defeated Cerezo Osaka 4-1.
