Vasco: Fresh from their two straight wins against Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan Sporting, Salgaocar will look to keep their winning momentum going when they take on

Shillong Lajong FC tomorrow in the 18th round of the I-League, at Tilak Stadium here.

Both the teams are tied on 24 points each from 16 matches. Shillong Lajong, who have beaten Salgaocar at home, are above them on fourth place.

Dudu Omagbemi who has put Salgaocar back in their winning ways by scoring in both the matches -- against Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan Sporting -- will be the man Salgaocar will be banking for success against Shillong Lajong FC.

Salgaocar coach Derrick Pereira said his boys have been working hard and have put extra efforts which saw the desired results.

"We have lost against Shillong Lajong in the away match and the Federation Cup but that is past. Federation Cup is a different ball game, now that we are playing the I-League we need to remain focus and positive.

"We have injury worry as defender Mathew Foschini is ruled out for tomorrow's match but that will not bother us as we have a good replacement," said Pereira.

Shillong Lajong, who did well to hold United Sports Club to a 2-2 draw in their last match, will be looking  for a close contest against an upbeat Salgaocar.

Lajong coach Thangboi Singto knows that Salgaocar are a different side after Dudu joining the team.

"He (Dudu) is the man who will make the difference in tomorrow's game as he can tear apart any defense if provided space and we have to keep a close watch on him. They also have the home advantage but we are well prepared for the challenge and are looking for close fight and hopefully a win," Singto said.
