Ronaldinho hears from Brazil leader after injury
Sao Paulo: Ronaldinho has received support from Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff after tests showed he may miss the Club World Cup in December because of injury.
Rousseff used her Twitter account to express solidarity with the former two-time world player of the year, who ruptured a muscle in his left leg during training with Atletico Mineiro last week.
Rousseff, an Atletico Mineiro fan, exchanged a few Twitter messages with Ronaldinho on Sunday. She said she "will be cheering for him to recover in time" for the club championship later this year in Morocco.
Ronaldinho is expected to be sidelined for three months. Doctors say it's unclear if he will be ready for the Club World Cup.
The 33-year-old Ronaldinho said Rousseff's support gives him "even more motivation" to recover.
