Rome, July 26: Roma has completed the signing of former Italy goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis from Napoli.
De Sanctis has penned a two-year deal at Roma, with the capital club paying a transfer fee of 500,000 euros ($662,000).
De Sanctis spent four seasons at Napoli, helping it to the Italian Cup in 2012 as well as the Champions League quarterfinals, where it lost to eventual winner Chelsea.
He also won the Italian league in 1998, during a two-year spell as reserve goalkeeper for Juventus.
De Sanctis made six appearances for Italy before retiring from international football on his 36th birthday in March.
