Pune, Dec 18: On a high after defeating defending champions Salgaocar Sports Club in their previous match, Pune FC failed to get past Mumbai FC, who managed a goalless draw in a 10 round I-League match at the Balewadi Sports Complex here today.
Strikers Mandjou Keita and Karma Tsewang combined well for most part of the match but Pune FC failed to get the ball into the net.
Pune FC created chances galore with Keita being the key on a day when Jeje Lalpekhlua looked somewhat jaded, but the finishing was missing.
Mumbai FC seemed to play for a draw as most of their attacks were nullified even before Pune FC goalkeeper Abhra Mondal could feel threatened.
Following the draw, Mumbai FC move to eight points from 10 matches while Pune FC are on 15 points from 10 matches.
