The Hague: Dutch football league leaders PSV Eindhoven kept their 12-point advantage to second-placed Ajax after 22 rounds of matches in the Eredivisie.
Ajax recorded a nervy 2-1 win over Go Ahead Eagles Sunday, reports Xinhua.
Ajax took the lead against Go Ahead Eagles in Deventer when Anwar El Ghazi converted a cross from the left by Ricardo Kishna in the 24th minute.
Sjoerd Overgoor equalised with a stunning volley in the 70th minute, but due to a mistake by Go Ahead Eagles goalkeeper Mickey van der Hart, Ajax were presented the late 2-1 victory.
He misjudged a back pass by Wesley Verhoek, which bounced over his foot into the goal.
League leaders PSV booked their ninth consecutive victory.
The Eindhoven based team beat FC Utrecht 3-1 at home. At half-time the score was 0-0, but Luciano Narsingh and Memphis Depay found the net on behalf of PSV just after the start of the second half.
Utrecht came back through a goal by Yassin Ayoub and the visitors even had possibilities for the equaliser, but Depay put an end to the tie with a free-kick in injury-time.
PSV lead the Eredivisie with 58 points from 22 matches, 12 ahead of Ajax (46) and 17 ahead of Feyenoord and AZ (both 41).
