London, Aug 8: Former European champions PSV Eindhoven and Celtic both advanced to the playoff round for the Champions League on Wednesday, as the last matches of the third qualifying round were decided.
PSV beat Zulte Waregem of Belgium 3-0 away to wrap up a 5-0 aggregate win, while Celtic held Swedish champion to a 0-0 draw in Boras to protect its 1-0 advantage from the first leg.
Zenit St. Petersburg, Austra Vienna and Dinamo Zagreb were also among the eight teams advancing. The draw for the playoff round will be held Friday, with Arsenal and AC Milan among the teams to enter the competition at that stage.
The 10 playoff winners join 22 elite teams already qualified for the lucrative group stage. That draw is made Aug. 29 in Monaco.
