It will be one of two matches that day at RFK Stadium with El Salvador playing Jamaica.
The match will be the first in charge for new Paraguay coach Gerardo Pelusso, who replaced Francisco Arce, who was fired last month after Paraguay lost 3-1 at Bolivia in a World Cup qualifier.
Paraguay has only four points in five matches and, unless the new coach can changes things, seems unlikely to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Paraguay has two qualifying matches in September, playing at Argentina on Sept. 7 then Venezuela at home four days later.
