Lausanne, Switzerland: Metalist Kharkiv's appeal to overturn its expulsion from the Champions League for match-fixing will be decided before the group stage draw next week.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport says it agreed to "an accelerated procedural timetable to enable a decision to be issued on August 28."
CAS will also rule that day on Fenerbahce's appeal against a two-year UEFA suspension for fixing. The Turkish club faces Arsenal in the playoff round while its appeal proceeds.
The groups are drawn on Aug. 29.
Metalist is challenging disqualification from the playoffs by UEFA because an official is implicated in fixing a 2008 league match.
UEFA reinstated Metalist's previous opponent, PAOK Thessaloniki, which plays Schalke in the first leg Wednesday.
CAS dismissed Metalist's second request for an emergency order to play Schalke.
