Buenos Aires: Argentine football great Diego Maradona has admitted his drug addiction stopped him from fulfilling his potential as a player.
In an interview with Argentine television channel Tyc Sports, the 53-year-old said he has not had a normal life and because of that he feels 25 years older, reports Xinhua.
"I am 53 going on 78 because my life hasn't been normal," Maradona said.
"I gave my opponents a big advantage due to my illness. Do you know the player I could have been if I hadn't taken drugs?"
