Cartagena, Colombia , Aug 5 : Mohamaed Ibrahim scored three goals as Egypt defeated Austria 4-0 on Thursday to advance to the second round of the Under-20 World Cup.
After Mohamed Ghazi opened the scoring in the 31st minute, Ibrahim scored in the 60th, 62nd and 82nd to give Egypt the lopsided victory in Group E.
Egypt finished group play with seven points in three matches and was level with Brazil, which defeated Panama 4-0 on Thursday. But Brazil claimed first place with a better goal difference. Egypt will face Argentina, the top team in Group F, on Tuesday in the round of 16. AP
